How bright is the Inova X5 LED light? Can it be considered a weapons grade light?Any one with this setup?http://www.elitetacticalsources.com/Guardian_TR5_Weapon_Light_System.htm

I think the x5's range as a weapons light is limited. I have four or five of them as general purpose lights...they are great lights.... but I would reccomend in that price range you should stick with a xenon....

Looking at the run time it does not look to be that bright. I guess I wanted to have my cake and eat it too.

I have an X5 and used it extensively when the power went out from Katrina. I'm still on the first set of batteries too. Glad i bought it. Great general purpose light. It's OK for navigation. Kinda like the dual LED setup found on Surefire's M500 and M900 weaponlights. But as a weapon light no way. It just isnt bright enough and LEDs generally suffer from loss of beam focus at longer distances that bulbs dont have.
