Will the 552 mount directly to an A3 upper and would the iron sights be able to be co-wittnessed? Or is a mount needed? anyone have any pics of a co-wittnessed Eotech? Will any rear BUIS work with factory front iron

You can mount the EOTech directly to your flattop and it will co-witness. You can use just about any BUIS and be fine. With that being said, LaRue Tactical makes an EOTech mount that fixes two issues (that I have) with the EOTech. It raises the EOTech .275 and gives you a QD/100% repeat zero capability....

EOTech claims that you will get within a 1 MOA @100yds re-zero. Some people will say that they get a much better re-zero than than, but that has not bee my experience....

At 50yds Iv'e had to readjust 4 clicks up and 4 to the left so thats about right as C4 mentioned. I may get the LaRue mount soon.

I JUST SOLD 15X LARUE TACTICAL EOTECH BASES TO ONE OUTFIT, SIMPLY BECAUSE THEY WERE EXTREMELY DISATISFIED WITH THE EOTECH INTEGRAL MOUNT'S RETURN-TO-ZERO CAPABILITY. THE FACT THAT THE LARUE TACTICAL PUTS THE EOTECH DOT WHERE IT SHOULD BE IS ICING ON THE CAKE.

Will this mount allow the EOTech to clear the M4 double heat sheild handguard?

I know that the LT EOTech mount will NOT allow for the EOTech to clear the SureFire M500A, but don't know about the M4 HG's. With that being said, I believe that we are talking about a VERY small amount of material being filed away...
