My worst enemy is saltwater.
All of the weapons at my work from 9mm to .50cal get a light coat of CLP before storage and after use (they get used alot). I have found that CLP will neither affect anodized, nor magnesium phosphate (parkerized)finishes. CLP is good to go! Calvin. |

Quoted: What Ya Think? Do they make CLP without the C (cleaner)? They do make CLP without the 'C'. In eight years total time in the Army \ USAR I've never seen CLP remove the parkerizing from an issue weapon. I can't speak for non military firearms. |

Truthfully, When my anodized/parked finish is looking a little lackluster, I wipe it down with CLP to get that "New Again" look. Ever notice how some NIB ARs recievers are literally soaked in the stuff.?

I am no fan of CLP, but I have never heard of it stripping finish before.
