Just bought a Bushmaster Varminter rifle and would really appreciate hearing from other owners of this rifle on what to expect from it. I also need advise on a scope for it,after the 1050.00 for it my scope budget is severly curtailed right now and after I get one on it and start shooting, it may be upgraded at a later date.

I would really love to see how the owther owners of this rifle have it set up.

Save up money for a decent optic.

Mine is a real pleasure to shoot. Leupold scope and Mk 4 rings, target turrents, ambi mag and safety, LMT 2 stage trigger, and scope shade.
Last time at the range I put 19 of 20 rounds into a 3/4" hole in about 35 seconds.

The varminter is an awesome rifle. I would have bought one but could not afford the rifle and the optic. Like Stick said buy a good optic and you will have a tack driver like Edwin907's.

You'll love the Varminteer. Mine has a Sightron II 4x16 on a Armalite mount. Rock solid and I get 3/4" groups all day with the Winchester 45 grain hollow points(White Box).

I have a Super Varminter with yhe carry handle and a Trijicon Ta11. I love it, I shoot about 1 MOA @ 100 yds, no it's not a super zoom scope, but it gets the job done very efficently. Good shooting!!
