Dang, I got to looking at what all needs 'adjusting' post ban  (is this the point where the term POST BAN takes on its proper meaning).  Heck, I just thought it had been expensive up to this point.  Stocks here, lower there, mags everywhere, save up for a buildup, but no reason to do it till Sept.......my wife is gonna KILL me.   2000 and counting now.  Who knows where it will end.

Someone help, I can't stop

It "sucks" when the retrofit plan evolves to include building two complete new rifles in addition to modifying the old ones!

That's what happened to me anyway. This is Arfcom, I'm sure I'm not alone!!

Anybody looking for low mileage pre-ban barrels for cheap??

I'm building from scratch so I've got about $1450.00 or alittle more counting brass(.300 Fireball) bullets and dies. I've actually got more into this rifle then I've got into my 27a1 Thompson and I thought I had alot into it.  This will probably be my only AR so I'm making it a nice one.

I haven't spent a dime preparing for the AW ban sunset, and as far as I know I won't be after it's gone, unless it is for a few high-cap mags.

I'll have to buy a couple of stripped rxs and send off one upper to get rid of it's brake.  I'll be waiting then for the folding stock AKs to hit the market.

I only tell my wife I only have two of everthing!  The first one and the last one I bought!  Whats in the middle don't count!  So there is no limit in ammo, AR's and accessories.

Hmmm..
A VLtor for about $170ish and an LMT Crane for around the same.

Siggghh.
I supose I'll have to put aside the preban upper for this complete lower that's
been sitting around for a bit 'till the money is looking right again.

That's what I keep telling myself, investment.  My plan for post-post ban life is more rifles, ammo, and mags.  I don't really care about the flash hiders, col stocks or the bayonet mounts....I need more AR's.  Up to 5 now, and I just started last year.  Drifted over to the dark side for a while and got 2 AK's as well. You people are so persuasive....

Ordered new furniture for one of the AR's today from Quantico, where does it end???

1 LE6920 COLT M4 $1100
1 Send out post ban rifle for FS and Bayo Lug $200
Having 2 AR's with all the evil features.........Priceless!

Hmm
I was going to modify my DCM gun, but I decided to wait until I need to replace the barrel, then I'll get it in the 'preban config'.
This allowed me to build my M4gery.
Which was budgeted at $625.  Plus a Lower which I already had.
It is at $850 and I still need a lpk. . . .

Being addiced to Black Rifles is a horrible thing for a college student.  CURSE YOU ARFCOM!!!!!
Oh well, a rifle a year keeps the. . . Keeps the. . . . umm . . . Keeps the liberals at bay!

I bought all the "conversion" stuff months ago to build my M4.

I will probably also be buying a LE Colt 6520 (AR-15A2 government carbine, pencil barrel ar15 marked)

I would if they are 16". These are perfect to fit into a Sears 26" craftsman tool box.

Looks like I'll be spending alittle more. I want to get a set of M4 handguards and put a small rail on it to mount a vert. fore grip and I need a front sight adjustment tool and might as well pick up a new front sight post too. It never ends no matter how much ya' spend. You'll always spend more.

FAL PARA kit $705
FAL receiver $200
U.S. parts to make PARA FAL 922 legal about $120
LMT M4 Upper/bolt/carrier $590 I think
Stag built lower $140
AR-10 on order - $1297
2 RRA 6-position stocks - $140ish

Still need an AK to go with the sidefolder I ordered ($23), lots of glock magazines, ParaOrd mags.......

I'll have to sit down and figure out what I have to spend before I go to the gun show Sept. 18th, and melt my credit cards.

I've been working saturdays and squirreling away money for months.  If they manage to slip a new ban through before the old one expires, I will be really upset.  If Ahnold becomes president in 2008, I'm leaving the country.

Edit: Speelng

having an upper built probably for my colt. Figure about a grand.. 150 for a stock I guess.

Rebarreling my bushy myself with a A2 supressor adn full legnth.. Pop one of those37mm launchers on it and start running around yelling "Say ello... to my lil' friend."

Won't cost too much. No more really htan if the ban stayed.
