Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Hornady Tap vs Hornady Black

So my local store finally has some of the new Hornady Black Ammo on the shelves.  The 75 grain bthp round is only $15 a box.  How does this stuff compare to the 75 grain bthp Tap round?

I have searched but I can't find a real answer.  

Looking to try this in my go to AR to bring down threats 2 and 4 legged out on the farm.

I'm using it in my HD mags currently.  That's a good deal for 75gr imo

I would guess... the "Black" might not be sealed at the neck and primer ? Also, most likely the T1 bullet vs the T2 bullet.

from the TAP .223 75gr description...

Powder: Temperature stable with flash retardant
•Primer: Small rifle, Staked primer pocket


Also... IMHO, 75gr Hornady Steel Match is a great deal for that 75gr bullet.

$19 dollars / 50 rds... granted steel case, but....
