I am in the market for a sling for my 7.62x39 AR and would like some of yall's input.  i have been searching the internet off and on for slings ever since i got my first AR in 2008ish with little luck.  the most difficult part of my search is finding pictures of the slings.  i am not talking about pictures of some nylon webbing laying on the ground, but pictures of how the rifle will be sitting on the body when carried.  of what little pictures i have found, seems like the 3-point is the best fit, but they seem overly complicated to some extent.  Also, all of them i see are attached to the gun with straps and shit around the standard M4 furniture.  i am sure they can be installed to guns with different furniture, but i cant find pictures.

Gun Use - gun will be used mainly for hog hunting and as a "brush gun".  Where we go hog hunting, it is mostly an ambush scenario.
Sling Attachment - Right now the gun has mid-length MOE hand guard and ACE ARFX stock.  The stock will most likely be changing to a rifle length (fixed) modstock or Emod.
Carry Position - while hunting with this and walking through fields looking for pigs, i want the gun to sit around my midsection and mostly level with muzzle down.  i do not want the gun to hang vertically in front of my body so purely single point sling is out.  i do need to use my hands for things other than holding a gun from time to time and i dont want the damn thing busting my balls...
Other Items - This is a hunting rifle.  at some point i may need to transition the gun from right to left (im right handed), but i dont have a ultra-short time requirement like my life depends on it.

so what are your recommendations?  pictures of how it is carried would be more helpful than saying go with this sling or that...

Bump...

Also, everyone has recommended a 2-point sling and not the 3-point. have any of you used the 3-point and shied away from it? i think part of my concern is that a 2-point sling will be like the ones i have on my remington 700s that are connected to the factory sling eyes? IF i was able to carry the rifle on the front part of my body (guess the sling is too short) the rifle would lay scope towards the ground. i normally carry these rifles slung over my arm like a backpack. When i have used the 700 for hog hunting before, i have to walk around with it in my hands (sans sling) so i have some kind of decent shot time. if i was using the sling, it would take forever to get the gun up and ready...

The Endom is my favorite sling. It's easy to adjust and doesn't have any excess webbing flopping around at either end of adjustment.

I have the Blue Force Gear Padded Vickers AA Sling.

Love it, and I'll probably be buying a couple more.

the vickers sling is indeed nice but i went with the magpul MS3, single or double and adjusts on the body alot like the vickers blue force. but its cheaper, 20% off from botachtactical.com using the slickmag code, i love it and id bet you would too
