Just got my birthday discount email from Midway so I'm going to use that towards a trigger group for my new build.
Right now I'm leaning towards this CMC Drop-in Group, because the reviews look great, the price is right ($155 shipped), and I like the look of the flat trigger. Any reason not to go with this trigger? Is there something significantly better in this same price range? Thanks |

I just picked up the giessele g2s for my new and first build. http://www.tieronearms.com/product-p/g2s.htm |

This is what I normally buy Geissele SD-3G . But that price is too high. You should be able to get it for just under 250
I'm going to try one of these Geissele SD-E in a dedicated long range .308. Again Overpriced. Look around. I have no experience with the Geissele trigger mentioned to you. Looks like they just don't check every part, like they do in their better trigger If you drop in a Geissele, you will be spoiled. Personally I like the flat bow trigger. It's about .125 farther ahead, and it allows better finger placement on it, at least for me. |

I appreciate the responses. I guess I need to look further into some of the Geissele triggers before I make a decision. Yup it always pays to look around. There is a thread on here on Geissele triggers, somewhere. It kind of depends on what kind of weapon you are wanting to build. If you are just slapping 1 together with just any parts you can pick up. Might as well go cheap. But If you are taking your time and buying all Quality parts, to make the best build you can afford. Then look at the better triggers. When building for accuracy the most important things are in this order. Barrel, Bolt carrier group, Trigger, Optics. This is where the money should be spent. Just about any Mil spec Upper and Lower from a respected company will be fine. |

This is going to be my buy once, cry once build so everything will be quality. Just not sure if it's worth the extra $80-100 to go with the Geissele vs. CMC |

i'm starting to lean toward a timney....seems like a good price. i see no negative reviews.
For non-competition shooters like me... are drop in trigger units, like these we are discussing, worse than similarly priced non drop-ins or are they problematic in any way? I know there are geiselle cool aid drinkers all over this board, but $270? really? I repeat, if you dont compete... |
| JP makes a good trigger that is less expensive than some of other triggers mentioned. |
