I noticed the magazine below from the Palmetto State Armory site. On the bottom of the mag it says West Columbia, SC. I guess that is where PSA is.
Does PSA make these mags themselves? Or does someone else and PSA puts their label on them? Are they good? https://palmettostatearmory.com/harrington-richardson-retro-5-56-20rd-straight-magazine-gray.html |

PSA bought H&R, along with DPMS a little while back. I was wondering who is making these too, maybe D&H?

View Quote @wolfman-iraq A part of me is skeptical it is D&H because they make 20 round mags but they are curved rather than straight. I did not know PSA bought DPMS. I wonder what their motivation was and if it means DPMS quality will go up. |

Floorplate in Colt style with Colt black follower, not retro enough for aluminum grey however. Hope they work. I still have my stash for my family and grandkids.

These work as well as Colt 20 round magazines. Every time we went to the beach I'd make a pitstop at a large Army surplus store near Ft. Bragg. The nice lady at the register always pointed me to where the big box of used AR-15 magazines was located. Even through the 10 years of the AWB the price never went up. I must have a full footlocker or two of 20 and 30 round aluminum military issue mags. I refinished/refurbished the mags with the most wear after a cycle through the dishwasher and drying in the oven, LOL. The wife unit could always tell I was baking a batch of mags prior to spraying a coat of Sandstrom solid film lubricant.

Colt and Okay doesn't make them anymore. |

those are nothing like the original 20rd mags.
floorplates are the same as a 30rd mag. they have no metal instert with the tab like the old 20rd mags have. (original Colt top, H&R, Rock River bottom) that being said, they run just fine like all my 20rd mags do. BTW, Rock River still sells the old style 20rd mag with the insert, though they do have plastic followers. Rock River |

Regarding the H&R mags, IIRC D&H is the mfgr. I may be mistaken. Also, for NHMTG marked Okay 20s.....Ray Gunworks has NOS for sale, $22 if memory serves me correctly. |

A little background info related here....
This is a copy paste of an email circa 2016: Re: Ronan Corp. The NHMTG brand name is going away, but not the magazine. As you may know, Ronan Corp has been distributing Okay Industries magazines to the commercial market under the NHMTG brand name for the past 15 years. These are the same magazines that Okay has manufactured for the US military for more than 40 years. We will continue to offer the same high quality magazine, but now they will be sold under the Okay SureFeed name, and be available with both the traditional mil-spec gray dry lube finish, as well as a black PTFE (Teflon) coating. Thanks Steve Pelletier Ronan Corp Ronan Corp mags are still available/30rd mags labeled NHMTG. https://www.mwgco.com/roanan-ar15-30-round-ar15-magazine.html |

Aren’t KCI KOREAN?
Some of the KOREAN mags work in some guns. Or so I’ve heard. I watched a (KOREAN) guy trying to get his new Korean FAL mags to work in a gorgeous Belgian Browning FAL. It was one failure-to-feed after another. |

The best current deal going on 20’s is the $14 free ship no tax okay/nhmtg mags from rra. Once those are gone you’re stuck with the $19 + shipping & tax H&r repro’s from PSA at least until center (maybe) gets the okay’s rolling again and the quality is the same as before. But that’s a big if.
