Hello, first post here. I searched but couldn't find quite what I was looking for. So...
I am trying to find the little sort of indexing clips that PSA includes with uppers that ensure a monolithic railed hand guard is right in line with the flat-top.

I grabbed a picture showing it off of one of the threads here. Its the little bit of metal between the upper and handguard

If anybody knows a) what its called so I can try and find some, and/or b) where I can get them I would be very grateful. I looked through PSA's "hand guard" section and didn't find anything

Kind of lost here, since a monolithic upper receiver is all one piece, or the bottom section of the float tube comes off;  and  either you use a long as barrel nut wrench to tighten the barrel nut down throw the front of the float tube, or with the type that the bottom of the float tube removes, you tighten the barrel nut that way isntead.

So if you back it up a touch and tell us what float tube you have, we can tell you how to install it so it indexes correctly.

As for the float tube top rail and the upper receiver top channel being on the same plan together (and one not slightly higher than the other), than is more luck of the draw instead with different manufacturers of the float tube and upper receiver.

That attached image looks like a regular free float handguard, not a 'monolithic upper'... The 'clips' are part of the hand guard.

Ok, I should have been more clear, it was a float tube paired with a regular flat-top upper in which the tube makes it appear to me monolithic. The upper I have is just a run of the mill AR flat-top from aero precision, and the tube/rail/handguard is the one off of this http://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-16-mid-length-5-56-nato-1-7-13-sqr-pencil-upper.html

I'm not necessarily having trouble aligning them, but rather I want to get ahold of some of the little clips that simplify the process, and keep it aligned

Use a scope mount

In your picture, that is a Samson Evolution handguard and the little piece of metal is an anti rotation tab that is built into the handguard. I have never seen that on a PSA factory upper.

Maybe I am missing something here. If you're talking about the brighter color metal inside the handguard, that looks like the thermal bushing set that the Evolution rails clamp on to.
