Anyone use it? I had someone give me some and it works really good. Cleans better than anything I have ever used.
It lubricates very well. And no toxic fumes or smells. I bought a bunch of big 8oz bottles. Soldiers have been using it for awhile. I got it from someone who had used it extensively in iraq it came highly recommended.
I am so impressed it's all I am going to use from now on.
I used it on some guns I thought were clean, and lots of black powder residue came out

I've been using it for a short while. The local gunsmith turned me onto it.

I believe it's not petroleum based but some type of plant oil. Maybe a castor oil based. During my dirt bike years I use  to

use a two stroke oil mix of  "Castrol Oil" and gas. The only issue with it at the time was it tended to gum up the carburator somewhat

compared to petroleum products.

This is one issue it could have over time but I haven't been using it long enough to tell.

I also clean my guns regularly so I may never know. But your right it does clean like a white tornado and seems to stay wet longer than CLP.

I am going to pull out my 45colt single actions that get nothing but lead bullets. If it's anything like my other guns, it should pull some stuff out.
I was using slip 2000EWL gunzilla seems slicker.

yep i bought a big bottle. im happy. Same here what i thought was clean, used Gunzilla and got more stuff out.
I used Hopped 9 and Pro Shot before, and still do. Now have to say thats all I have used before.
And I am not sure if my cleaning technique just got better too. I started using Gunzilla and Pro shot at the same time. And started wrapping a patch around a nylon brush.
maybe I should dedicate one cleaner to one gun for a while and see what happens.

Started using zilla a year ago, and it does clean spectacular, but the one thing I don't like about it is, its real runny, and if you put your gun in the safe for a while it will run right out. The good thing is that it still leaves a film on all the parts, and they do sometimes just wipe clean with no scrubbing.

So far i like it.

I've want to try this stuff, but have heard claims of it eating away at certain plastics/polymers. Any truth to this?

http://www.gunzilla.us/

Just went to their website.  They sure make it sound like great stuff.

Who knows, maybe the new kid on the block?

The only plastic I've seen it eat away at is the kind of plastic that batteries, and other goods like that come in. The stuff works incredible though, but like I stated in my first post, it's quite runny. I still buy it though for cleaning, and it also makes a great cold weather lube fro shooting in the winter.

Good question on melts plastic. I know I have a shotgun wad, they claim it eats this, i can try. Im trying to think if i have a grip or rail cover i can sacrifice to try.

It will break down some plastics.  Be very careful what it gets on.

What plastics and how did you find out. Just curious, seems a lot of posts about plastic problems seem to be second hand knowledge.

I found out from the guy that sells it at the gunshow. His name is Lou, his business is LOOKILOU CLEANING SUPPLIES. He does the west coast gun show circuit. He was educating me on it and warned me that some of his customers were having reports of it eating certain plastics and that I should keep an eye on it.

The only thing I don't like about it is that it's very thin/runny.

Normally I consider CLP type products to be an imperfect answer to a non existent problem, but Gunzilla really is an excellent product. I use it on handguns primarily, it is much harder to get degreasers and solvents out of a pistol compared to an AR - so it is very practical.

Any idea how this stuff would hold up to rubbery things, like the rubber on my new Hogue grips? I'm thinking about ordering a bottle, but the one thing holding me back is the fear that if I get a little on my grip, i'll wind up melting it away...

Still seems to be internet rumor about it melting plastic. Everyone seams to have heard it melting plastic from a friend of a friend.

Any gun cleaner that would melt or dissolve plastic would surely get out into the public. Bad news travels fast.

Theres a lot of chemicals that will harm certain plastics and rubber products, especially if by prolonged contact.

Acetone, lacquer thinners, toulene, and brake cleaners. I wouldn't place petroleum based products into any of these for an extended amount of time.

I am almost positive it depends on the type of plastic.
I got wet patch on a Lee red die box and it etched it for sure.
I know i got some on a Magpul Pmag and it did not seem to have and effect.

Still trying to find some stuff to try it on.

This is a fact. Do not, I repeat DO NOT use gunzilla on a weapon you have kryloned. It'll strip that paint right off.........ask me how I know.

yes it will. I have first hand experience. Its a good cleaner. too thin to lube well and will go rancid if left in the gun long. I think is because its plant oil based. used up my one bottle and that was enough.

Idk about it not lubing well, I think it does fine. Just won't use it on anything painted.

Don't have an AR15 myself.   Just wanted to stop by and comment on Gunzilla and plastic.   I was looking for a container to pour a bit of it in, to clean a gun, and thought I'd just use a cheap little plastic party cup. (Dumb)
When I was done cleaning the gun I noticed that the cup was leaking.  After pouring it all out I examined the cup and found that the Gunzilla had completely eaten around the thin edge at the bottom of the plastic cup.    I'll use a glass jar next time, or a spray bottle.

Never had a problem with plastic but the shit will destroy anything you've kryloned, this is a fact! Otherwise its an excellant cleaner, lube, I don't know, stuffs too runny for me, went back to slip2000.
