I've been looking for something to lay my guns on in my gun closet shelves.

Currently, they're on cotton towels which obviously draw oil, and hold moisture.

What other fabrics/mats, whatever, have people found that a. won't draw oil off the gun, b. will not harm either metal finishes or wood finishes, c. don't hold/attract moisture ?

I figure I'll use this material over another material that will provide a cushion between rifle and shelf

I can normally find products that will do 1 or 2 of the functions, but not the third.

Particulary tough to find are materials that won't affect wood finishes over time.  I had looked at the rubbery mats sold as throw rug underlayments and shelf liners, but they specifically say they will affect wood finishes over time.
