I currently have a Hogue grip on my AR. I've noticed a lot of people going to the Magpul grip of the Tango Down pistol grip. For those that have the Magpul, how do you like it? Any issues with the the different inserts for the rear of the grip? Seems similar to the H&K P2000 by my observation. I was thinking about making the change, but I figured I'd get some opinions from those that have the magpul or the tango down, I'm just not crazy about the hogue. Thanks. |

I like both of those, but prefer the Ergo Sure grip, especially If you like/need the part that extends above the thumb. ERGO |
| As with many questions related to ergonomics, there's some personal preferences involved. I have all four of the grips mentioned so far, and the Ergo is hands down my favorite. I have relatively small hands, though, and the Ergo is just plain a better fit than the MIAD. The Tango Down is probably lowest on my totem pole. |

The best grip is the one that fits the size of your hand the best. The MIAD probably would fit most of the different sizes of hands than the other regular grips that can't be adjusted. I've got medium-large hands and the TangoDown that I got on my LMT lower from the factory a couple of years ago was too small for me so I switched to the MIAD grip, now two of my carbines have them. The grip panels pins to the grip and I've never heard anyone ever having any problems with them, some don't even pin them and no problem, the good thing with my MIAD grips is when I wear gloves I just use the next smaller grip panel, you can't do that with a standard grip. If you could try it first, try them at your local dealer or someone at the shooting range before deciding on your grip upgrade. |
