I'm doing a lightweight build and I have gotten to the last part, the gas system. I have a BCM lightweight fluted 14.5" barrel. I'm trying to decide which gas block and length of gas tube I should get.

I am trying to get the correct gas block for the barrel and I am confused by the difference (if any) between these two products:

http://www.v7weaponsystems.com/collections/frontpage/products/v7-titanium-625-gas-block

http://www.v7weaponsystems.com/collections/frontpage/products/v7-pin-on-titanium-gas-blocks

Am I OK to use either product? The barrel sits in a BCM KMR rail.

My next question regards the length of the gas tube. The vendor said I needed a "mid length" tube, however the vendor offers "carbine" and "mid". This probably sounds like a dumb question, I just want to verify before I order the wrong part.

Thanks for any help and advice you can offer me!

I don't know which gas tube you'll need, but you don't get to choose.  The tube has to be the proper length to go from the gas block to the bolt carrier.  The length of the gas tube has to do with the position of the gas port in the barrel which determines the position of the gas block.

That is, of course, assuming that your barrel already has the gas port drilled.  If it's not already drilled, you get to choose where you drill it thereby choosing whether you get a mid or car length tube.

(I think that's the way it works)

It is drilled and apparently for .625.

.625 is the diameter of the barrel where the gas block goes.  There are a couple different sizes so the gas block needs to be the .625 variety.

If the vendor says you'll need a mid length gas tube, he should know.
