Wanting to replace my A2 front sight with a low profile gas block. What is the best way to go. I herd that the ones with the set screws will loosen up over time and move covering the gas port holes. What are you guy's using?

While set screw gas blocks are technically weaker than ones with pins... i haven't actually heard of one loosing up if it has been installed correctly and red locktited.  But then again i haven't been researching that either.

I used a YHM low profile with set screws... worked great.. no complaints.  I personally think people get a bit too fancy with gas blocks... i mean in reality it is just a piece of metal with a hole drilled in it.  As long as the hole is in spec and it isn't made in china you should be GTG.... no need to spend $60+ on a low profile.

Another option... the cheapest and strongest would be just to cut down your existing sight into a low profile.  Easy to do and the strongest you will find anywhere.  Costs nothing as well.

Be advised that if you cut your FSB into a low profile gas block, and you decide to go back the the OEM configuration you will have to buy a new FSB and send it off with the barrel to be pinned on properly, and will cost you ALOT more in the long run.. Don't ask me how I know...

ETA I have a VLTOR  set screw gas block on one of my rifles, and it has had no problems coming loose. I did buy the dimpler tool to install it properly though..

Lock-tite.
Check the screws occasionally if you feel so inclined..I switched my front sight out for a Yankee-Hill folding/gas block a few weeks ago.
