Once finished and proven, will be my go to
Gonna be lighter, shorter, 1" longer barrel, and a hopefully even better suppressor
Might be a pistol for a bit, and might get a fancier LPVO

Nothing wrong with the Accupoint for go to guns. Simple reticles, lightweight, no batteries, and they are tough.

Nice rifle.  I'v got a South American.  So this is your Go To, let me ask you, were you issued an AR-10 as a duty or service weapon?

It depends on where I am. Where I currently live it’s the SR-15 posted earlier. When I’m out in the country I prefer the MWS. Only ever been issued 5.56 weapons.

My 11.5 with a URX 3.1 was milled by Operation Parts for a completely flush fit with the upper receiver. If not something like that, probably luck of the draw.

I've had a 3.1 before..it installed tight, but the URX4 is different.  Not quite as snug as I'd like...but heard it was perfectly normal; however, if there is a trick to get it tighter...that'd be nice.

D.wilson can fix that up for you.
The fix is to remove material from the front of the receiver until it lines up correctly. I started with a brownells at-15 upper lapping tool but moved to a diamond hone to remove the material needed to line it up without shims.

Don’t pay someone else to do it. If you have any mechanical skill it’s easy.

#1 above is a ArmaLite AR10 B Model w/ Larue MBT trigger.  Backup is my S&W M&P15 {it's not always Hoth } It now is a sort of dedicated HD rifle and wears an Aimpoint Pro, Magpul short carbine stock and grip and a fattie forestock as the skinny one let my hand get burned. Has a Larue MBT trigger as well. :

Great pics EVR!  Are you taking your AR's out in the weather to get that BTDT look?
I have been trying to get out coyote hunting for weeks but work, family and classes are preventing it.  I have done 2 CC Ski trips 11 miles back in to the Owyhees 2 times.  Lot of work but fun.  I had an AK with me not an AR at that time.

Love these pics! You're hard core bro! Beautiful dog and what a healthy and BEAUTIFUL horse too! Nice rigs as well. Your pics are pure win!

Some day I'll have a "Back Arabian Mare"... I consider them to be the fastest and most beautiful horses God ever made.

Here is my go to AR... It's my MEGA/Noveske build. It's newish but goes darn near everywhere with me after I vetted her with a broad array of both bulk Federal, IMI, PMC, 55grain ammo and PRVI, Gold Dot, IMI, Fiocchi and Hornady loads in 69, 75 and 77 grain OTM's. I'm gonna keep her KISS for light weight, no optics... just like she's pictured... except now she sports a Magpul MS3 sling & a 500 lumens TLR-1S light. I'm loving this Centurion 9" FF Rail.

currently set up has a slightly longer forend and my can instead of just the flash hider

Armalite form 1 I did I think 15 or so years ago
300BO 8"
PA dot
Olight
etc etc. With the can it's still shorter than that 12" 870. Good to anything I can see in the suburbs. 300 subs are amazing, even comfy at an indoor range.

Other option is a hime build JP bull barrel, Magpul UBR, Trijicon accupoint 3 gun rifle. No pics.  It's like 12 pounds but runs 100% and will hit hit a dime at 50 yards or steel out to 430 (furthest I've tried)

Thanks! It took a while to assemble with the URX4, but worth it.

I have a 11.5 Sionics barrel on it. I couldn't find a 11.5 DD. I'm happy with the barrel so far for the money, but still would have rather used a DD. Didn't measure OAL yet for the stamp. I doubt I'll ever do a 12.5, might as well do 14.5. Range time Friday!
