The FSB on my barrel is marked <B>1  I will be using a troy rear sight and was under the impression I needed an "F" marked FSB.  Will my setup work?
ETA:  I think I answered my own question.  I found some info saying the F marked FSB was developed for the carbine length gas system and is not necessary with a rifle length or midlength gas system.  Does this sound correct?

An "F-marked" front sight base is never necessary but is what you would want to use with a flat-top upper so the rear sight is aligned properly. If it's not an f-marked sight you'll have slightly different elevation but it surely will still work.
