I found a few cases (after the fact) that had dinged shoulders.  It is very dirty ammo, my bolt and barrel are always covered with a thick layer of soot that takes alot of work cleaning out.

Secondly: It was listed as NATO 5.56 ammo, however the base of the bullets do not have the NATO approval mark.  Therefore there is no true guarantee that these bullets are true spec.

Finally: I got really crappy groups with this stuff.  Very wide dispersion of at least 2 inches or more in groupings.

On the good side...these puppies are definitely M855 penetrators.  We cut several 2x4's in half when plinking at the back of the barn.

Also be aware that your money for these bullets go to the Middle East.

There will have to be a catastrophic failure in my m4 and 20" before I stop shooting and get rid of my 2300rds of Adcom. 2 500rd cases of HS 2004, 1 case HS 02 and the other 01. Loose boxes of 04 and 00. Both function A+, no popped primers/cracked/split cases.

Every time you fill up your car the money goes to the middle east also.  I think they make more $$$$$$$$ on oil than ammo don't you.

Yep,

but didn't Century Arms of Vermont import in most of this ADCOM ammo to begin with?

I see their name as "Consignee" on all the ADCOM ammo cases I have with the UAE ADCOM Factory as "Consignor."

Give them Yankees a break; I am sure they made a few bucks on the deal!

Lt_Condor,

What year was your ammo?  99 seems to be the only year that had problems.  I have all 98 and have had zero problems.

ETA:  Infact at 3.99 per 20 at my local Gander Mountain it's one of the best deals around..... i'd buy more but they are all out of stock.

Well hell, sounds like you got the good stuff.   What year was it?   Lousy groups and inspect each round before firing are standard issue for ADCOM.

Blown primers and blown up guns are a special treat for the 99 Head stamped stuff.

Lt.Newguy,
I must have got lucky. My '03 headstamp is extremely consistent, haven't found a reject round yet, and shoots about 1.25 MOA sitting or kneeling, open sights from my Bushy M4A3. I have about 2K left I'm saving for when my Radway runs out, because this is the best ammo I've shot in my AR so far.

Money goes to the "Middle East"??? It's a little known fact that the Middle East is a rather large place, and the UAE is a little small country within it, and one of our allies if any of them are.

So where did you purchase said Adcom, and what is the headstamp year???
And thanks for bringing FALARAK up to speed on this topic...

I have had good luck with my 99 HS.  I did buy all the 01 headstamp for 4.25 a box.

The dreaded 99 HS has worked fine for me also.  Keeping my fingers crossed.

99 headstamp resulted in overpressure, blown primers and a crappy couple of days at the range for me due to the primers getting stuck in my lower and in the chamber a few times.

not fun.

I recently picked up a couple of boxes of the adcom m855 to try because the price was right. After I read some of the stuff on here I checked each round in the box. One was so badly bent (bullet seated crooked in cartridge case and bent case neck) that I was surprised it fit in the box. Sorry to say I forgot the headstamp date but I do recall that it was 01 or later.
