I am leaning toward GG&G front and rear flip up sights.  Anyone know of any other good quality brands that are less pricey?

Thanks,
Wes

I would highly recommend Troy.  Are they cheaper???  Nope.

But they are the HEAT.

Nobody replys with feedback regarding the GG&G sights. Why?

Regarding the front sight, the GG&G has a non hooded sight,I like the non hooded style. Regarding the rear, Still no feedback? Not the MAD, but the flip up buis. Someone should be able to describe any difference. It would be helpful here, thanks.

I don't think many folks own them. Generally ARMS and TROY considered the best choices by most..

I use the GG&G MAD Rear BUIS exclusively on all my AR15 & AR10s.  On the AR10, I use their front sight for dovetails. For FS, I use the PRI/GB  (Custom MSTN uppers), Standard Tower (Colt M4s), and Troy (MRP).  I have never had a problem ordering directly from GG&G, the longest wait I've had has been a week. I have another MSTN project going with Wes, it will also have the GG&G MAD and a Troy on a 12" LaRue Rail.

Regarding the MAD, I like the idea of true same plane choice. Is the mad as natural to 'find' as the eared styles we have become so used to?

Still no GG&G flip up buis users?

I use the GG&G A2 flip up buis on my  14.5" bushmaster and the MAD flip up on my 16" dpms m4's i like them a lot, and the tactical store that my department uses TACTICAL GEAR SUPPLY,www.tacgear.com is a GG&G dealer and always have the products in stock.

I have the GG&G flipup front and MAD rear.  I used them as the primary sights on a project gun for over 3 years.  I like them quite a bit actually, and I have gotten more used to the MAD than to a standard A2.

With that said, as much as it pains me, I am likely going to go with the ARMS rear on my new M4gery.  I like the fact that it's spring loaded.  The MAD is really best when you have a magnified or low mount optic IMHO.

I ended up going with YHM flip up sights.  Quite a bit cheaper and if you buy the front and rear sights together, you get a 10% discount.  I have heard good things about YHM on this board, so I hope they will work OK.
