| I am thinking about starting my first build . My question is which rifle kit would be better as far as quality and reliability the J&T CAR kit or the Del-Ton lightweight Rifle kit ? I can get both for about the same amount of money. I am on a tight budget so these are about my only options to cure the Black rifle disease right now. what do you guys think ? I wanted to ask some people that had some epierience with this . |

I've heard good things about both companies. I only have personal experience with J&T. I have been perfectly happy with my rifle from them. Both companies offer CAR kits as well as Lightweight barreled carbine kits. I know this doesn't really narrow things down for you but it seems like both companies would be reasonable choices. Good luck. A basic carbine is a great place to start. You may consider an A3 flattop with a removable carry handle to start out with. It would give you optics options later should you choose to go down that road eventually. |
