I am thinking about starting my first build . My question is which rifle kit would be better as far as quality and reliability the J&T CAR kit or the Del-Ton lightweight Rifle kit ? I can get both for about the same amount of money. I am on a tight budget so these are about my only options to cure the Black rifle disease right now.  what do you guys think ? I wanted to ask some people that had some epierience with this .

I've heard good things about both companies.  I only have personal experience with J&T.  I have been perfectly happy with my rifle from them.  Both companies offer CAR kits as well as Lightweight barreled carbine kits.

I know this doesn't really narrow things down for you but it seems like both companies would be reasonable choices.  Good luck.  A basic carbine is a great place to start.  You may consider an A3 flattop with a removable carry handle to start out with.  It would give you optics options later should you choose to go down that road eventually.

There is no cure for the disease.
Both companies seem to have happy customers.
