I want to start off by thanking everyone that helped me; your knowledge, help and sometimes just your opinions are much appreciated. Special thanks to Bumblebee_Bob for the pivot pin detent!

Ran a bit more than I expected but oh well.

Made sure I bought some things from Brownells to "thank" them for their great instructional how to build vids.
Things learned: Shipping adds up, have a complete plan before you start to prevent spiraling costs, laser engraved ejection ports aren't that cool after all (should have bought a plain one), and a good trigger is worth every penny.

Got it zeroed in at 50 yards and ran 80 rounds through it on my first trip to the range. Pretty happy with how things turned out.

Looks like a nice way to spend 2k on a rifle.

Yes, the only drawback is that they are S&W marked on the front side but I couldn't pass up the deal.

Very nice.  What do you think about the Battlecomp?

That's a hard one for me to accurately answer. I have a military background and don't have a lot of experience using different comps.

Muzzle climb seemed to be easily controlled. How much of that was attributed to the heavier SS barrel and how much the comp... I have no idea. All I can say is that it felt good. Noise didn't seem bad at all, so that was awesome. By comparison, I had a friend who finished his build and took it out at the same time. 10 feet to his right and about 15 feet back he caught me off guard, without any hearing protection (I had slipped them off when we went down range to check my zero). After he fired 1 shot my ear was ringing and in real pain from his comp. He has a Yankee hill, not sure which one but the difference was extremely noticeable. Concussion was also uncomfortable off his while no one complained about mine.

I really like it so far but only 80 rounds down range and I was focused on a lot of other things to be honest. (sights; friends I had brought; and completely distracted by how awesome the trigger was compared to what I was used to)

Thanks for adding a price list-very helpful. Unfortunately I checked AIM for the Troy sites and they are sold out. Nice rifle and good info.

Got back from the range today (116 more rounds of PMC Bronze down range) and all I can say is, dang I love shooting this thing.

3 shot group 6"x8" steel plate at 100 yards. Unsupported, standing, irons.
First shot was dead center, second was high right, third was low left off the plate when I sent it.

5 shot group prone not the most tacticool shooting but keeping it real.

8 shot prone, better group but still room for improvement

Other observations: Had a buddy who took some video and the battlecomp gave off a decent dust signature when shooting prone.
