This is my very first AR build. It has taken over a year because I took my time looking for parts.  I put up a picture of the lower when I completed it a while ago.  But here is the rifle, almost complete, now.  I still need sights and a flash hider/comp.

Lower
RRA , RRA LPK
VLTOR Modstock
MOE grip
Magpul ASAP plate

Upper
BCM Blem upper
Sportsmans Guide barrel
DPMS BCG (got it cheap from neighbor)
YHM Spectre quad rail
YHM gas block

What sights and flash hider would you all recomend?

As far as sights go you can get some magpul flip ups for about $80. for the pair.  Or you can spend a ton and get Troys which are the s*#t..  Depends on you budget––heck maybe you dont even want flip up sights..

Great looking rifle by the way..

How do you like the yankee hill???  Do they use their own barrel nut??

I'd just get an A2 hider, it's cheap, it works and you can always upgrade later.

What sights do you want? Are you planing on putting an optic on it? If so is it going to be a red dot sight where you want them to co-whitness or is it going to be magnified where you want them to fold out of the way?

I will more than lilkely put an optic on it, red dot sight.  Don't really see a need for magnification yet with the red dot.  So probably just co-witnessed.  I looked at the A2 hider and also the YHM flash hiders.

So far I like the YHM rails.  Sturdy and not too heavy.   They do use their own barrel nut with a jamb nut.    I also purchased the end cap for the rail that covers the opening around the front of the barrel.

i really like the wilson combat sights becuase they have both windage and elevation adjustments how ever i think there are a few sights that you can add the night sight trituim inserts that make your iron sights a night sight set... i have not done this but i have been considering it...  and i would put a YHM phantom flash on that rifle to comeplement the rail...

Yep put a YHM Phantom flash hider on it.  I might have one for sale soon if I decide on putting a BattleComp on mine.

I have looked at the YHM flash hider.  I like the look of it, I looked at aimsurplus because they had them with free shipping.  They are out of stock right not

Nice looking build.  Post pics once you are done so we all can see what you ended up with.
