hey guys just did my first build in a ar-very happy {mostly build ak's} Rock river lower with model 1 upper. My Question Were is the mark on the model 1 upper saying 223 or 556. Cant find any numbers or letters. any help greatly appreciated. german |
| If it's a chrome lined barrel (markedM1S HC 1/9), it's got a 5.56 chamber. If it's a chromemolly barrel (marked M1S 1/9), then it's more than likely a .223 unless the order specified a 5.56 chamber. All chromemolly barrels arrive at Model 1 as .223s, and are reamed to 5.56 per order. There are no caliber/chamber marking on their barrels designating .223 or 5.56 (working on it, but changes come slowly). |
