I'm looking to build a AR .308 for 200 yard max shooting. I have a DPMS .223/5.56 lower. Can that come into play? What am I looking for? I was looking for a bull barrel.

nope, you have to get an AR-10 type lowed, the .308 magazines won't feed into a .223 AR-15 receiver.

you will have a hard time fitting a .308 cartridge in a .223 mag well.
that's why they have the AR10 and its derivatives.
