Hello, I've been lurking around for almost a year now. I have read alot here, and learned from it. I am currently building two AR's, one for my wife, and one for me. I will try to post some pictures of the work in process. I wanted to thank you all for your thoughts, ideas, and actual experiences.

I am going to fully build my wifes AR, save the bolt/carrier. I am going to buy one of Denny's Super Duty units. The wifes AR, sports a Mega upper, minus barrel, furniture, and bolt assembly. The lower is a Mega as well, was built by me, using a Del-Ton kit, and Ergo grip. The barrel is going to be a 16 HBAR....I Know, I know...;) Made by Bush Master, it will be surounded by a vented Free Float Tube from AMEETEC. I have an ARMS 40L P BUIS, on back order for this weapon. The stock is an Ace Skeleton Standard stock. An Eotec 552 is in the future for this system.

The other Weapon, is an Anvil Arms Lower, it was Pre- Assmebled, so no coolness factor there. This just might wind up being a 6.5 Grendel, or a KISS weapon, with just Irons. Both weapons will have The standard Ace Skeleton stocks. Who knows, Well, I justed wanted to say Hi, and Thanks. Scott.

Thank you guys for the welcome. The pictures, I have to post from a website. Anyone have some hints, I've just posted pics from my hard drive. Victor, I am a big beliver in less is more. I might get some flack over this, but I would rather not have all those gadgets on my weapon. Who knows...I may change my mind, later on. I've never used those gadgets. Everything I own, is pretty basic. Scott.

Well it works, thanks again Nam_Ghost. Now..I just to get my wifes finished. I am going to look for an upper for the Anvil Arms reciever. Any ideas, on fit and finish, the Mega is Darker, and slightly more textured, but it fit very well. Scott.

I checked the sticky on lower recievers, The Anvil Arms appears to built/made by LAR. I noticed some extra material on the inside of the lower, where as the other recievers are milled evenly, I will post a pic. What is this for? Scott.

So you can or can't drop in a DIAS/RDIAS or whatever.  I'm really not up to terms on my Class III stuff but that's what it's there for IIRC.

BTW welcome and it's lookin good so far!

Thanks Nam_Ghost, and fivepointoh. The DIAS/RDIAS makes sense. Fivepointoh...Stangbanger huh????? Had an '89 LX 5 liter, sold it to my brother, it is getting a much needed build up. I still have my '66 Stang, 289 C code, 3 speed cruise-o-matic. It, too is need of a build up. One day once the boys get older, I am going to make a family project out of it. For now...I have this Terrible Sickness....AR'S. I have been stricken with this illness, to build AR's. Thanks again guys. Scott

No pics to post today, I am going to my parents tomarrow, I can get some of my '66, and my dads two '66's. One is torn down to the uni-body, in primer. The other is his pride and joy, it is a Factory Black, red interrior, 4 speed, which we changed out for a 5 speed. It has a factory A code 289 warmed up/blueprinted up 10:1 comp, 351 heads milled worked, Hedman tri y's, a Hell of a cam 292 duration old school Isky, solid lifters, Eddie intake with a 650 mechanic secondaries. He has the performer intake on it now, but I "Worked" a Tourqer 289 intake for the cam. The intake will let that engine scream out to 7500, she can hold it. The rear gear is a 3:89, it holds it own on the roads. Scott.
