Decided to finally build up an AR myself after contemplating it for years. So far I've built up the lower receiver minus the stock. I'm probably going to pick up a Magpul Carbine Stock locally if I can't find a great deal on one online. Have to wait for some replacement take-down pin detents to arrive.
So far I have an Aeroprecision PEW Lower CMMG LPK (installed) I'm going to get a complete upper this time and might tackle a build with a stripped upper next round. Anyone have any experience with this uppper from PSA ?? The price is pretty is about right for me this build since I'm not going all out and building a plain jane. Just wondering if its worth it. PSA 16" M4 1/7 M4A1 Freedom Upper - Without BCG or Charging Handle For a rear sight I might get one of the removable carrying handles to mount to it, unless anyone else wants to chime in on a rear sight to go with that upper. I don't see the CMV barrel listed (might have missed it). So why wouldn't you go with the one I linked? Because its lead lapped and/or a heavy barrel? I'm asking just to learn more.
