First build, so bear with me. Very new to the AR scene. I have been trying to search around but I don't seem to have very good luck with the search on these forums. Here is my build so far:
Upper - PSA SS12G2 Premium Lower - PSA LPK - PSA LPK Trigger - ALG QMS Trigger Trigger Guard - Magpul Enhanced BCG - PSA Charging Handle - BCM Gunfighter Mod 4 (med) Stock - B5 SOPMOD Buffer Assembly - BCM Parts pieced together as I could find them Grip - BCM Gunfighter Mod 1 Optic - Aimpoint H1 on Larue 660 Sling - Magpul MS3 Light - Inforce HSP WML [Still Looking for: Comp BUIS Sling Attachment Method (debating on QD on ss12g2/sopmod or buying an ASAP type mount) Case Just to verify, I can take the A2 flash hider off the PSA barrel and install an aftermarket compensator, correct? I have read that some are pinned/welded, but that just seems to be the 14.5" barrels to meet the NFA requirements. Looking at the BCM Mod 0, but any recommendations are appreciated. Trying to keep the weight on this weapon down, debating whether I want BUIS or not. I figured that I would put a quality optic on it first and deal with BUIS later. Any input on the bolded section above is appreciated. Thanks |

I was about 2 seconds away from buying that upper from psa. Hope you enjoy it. About the Flash hider, you should be able to take it off. You are correct that they only pin 14.5 inch flash hiders to bring the length up to 16". Look into a battlecomp or a griffin armament m4sd. Its about half the price of the battlecomp and just as good. As for the BUIS..... Magpul does it fairly cheap and they are lighter than many other options. If you want my real opinion on comps vs flash hiders, leave the A2 hider on.... They work amazingly well. It has been said that once you use a comp for a while, you will more than usual come back to an A2. QD mounting is a good choice, but the asap will keep weight down by just replacing a part with not much more weight. adding a qd mount only adds weight. |
