I am leaning toward building a med range ar...in between a cqb and medium range rifle. Was looking toward maybe a sundevil lower and a vltor upper for starters. Will use a free floating rail system. You guys think this sounds like a good start or would other directions be better?

From what I've read around here, Sun Devil makes a great lower. Haven't seen any negative feedback on them. How much are you paying for the lower?

Which VLTOR upper are you getting? The VIS or MUR?

150 for the lower and was looking at the mur because and availablility as far as I could find.

actually just found a spikes tactical SL-15 lower that looks great!
