I've skimmed over numerous reviews, videos, forums, and spoke with numerous people to grab as much insight as I possibly could in regards to my first build. As I am approaching completion of everything I'd like to grab further insight and some thoughts on this first build. I'm aware that I need a tax stamp and have further more applied for one already and don't plan on building it until I receive that. Any help would be great. Also any suggestions on gas block & gas tube (this is where I'm having trouble figuring out what exactly I need for this).

Total build:

Spikes Stripped Upper Forged M4 Flat Top (Multi Cal)

Spikes Stripped Lower
PSA Lower Parts Kit
PSA 5.56 Nickel Boron BCG
11" Rail
BCM Standard 12.5" Carbine Barrel
Magpull Stock & Grip
BCM Small latch charging handle
ALG Defense Quality MilSpec Trigger

Any steel lo-pro gas block should work. I've used YHM, and have been happy with them. As far as gas tubes, anything from a reputable dealer. I do have some Melonited gas tubes but I haven't seen much difference between them and standard tubes.

If you bought a truly stripped upper you will still need an upper parts kit (forward assist, ejection port cover). It also looks like your list is missing a buffer tube assembly. I would recommend just a milspec 7075 tube with standard carbine buffer/spring.

As far as gas block any low-profile steel one will work. A gas tube is a gas tube pretty much, just make sure you buy a carbine length one (I'm just assuming your 12.5" barrel has carbine length gas system). Make sure the tube or block comes with the tube roll pin.

Just my preference if you are spending the money on BCM charging handle I would go with the medium latch, not the small. Otherwise save the money and just use a milspec one.

I like the new midwest industries low profile m-lok rails, but there are a ton of different options out there.

And finally I don't see any sights listed on your build either. I have magpul mbus on pretty much all my builds because they are light, durable, and fairly inexpensive. Plus they match my other magpul parts. But there are also a ton of other good options out there obviously.
