Hi Guys, I am looking for a set screw FST for a .750 barrel, my buddy several years ago had one that clamps to the barrel with 2 allen head screws but I can't get a hold of him. It is the FST that has 2 allen screws which sqeeze's the barrel as you tighten it up. I checked Brownells, DPMS and Bushmaster but did not find anything. Any of you know where to find it. Also anyone know where to get the high temp silver solder for a brake install? Thx for the help. |

Brownells sells the proper high temp solder that is required for brake installation. Go to www.brownells.com and search on solder. Choose any solder with a melt temp over 1100F. I have been working on a FST that installs with two socket head capscrews (allen socket head bolts), I am not done yet, but it seems that a postban (no bayo lug) is the easiest for me to convert to a PRI type front fiip sight type installation, as I can spiit the bottom of the FSB at the front and rear, machine the FST for cap screws and machine the barrel to accept the capscrews - just like the old PRI front flip sights. I have been toying with a FST that wouldn't require any barrel work, but there isn't alot of meat on a FST to allow for this, so it is difficult. |
