Anybody have any tricks to make sure the FSB is straight up on a barrel install w/a flat top upper?  I thought of using two rear iron sights mounted to the rail, but I only own one for the time being.

You can install the top handguard and eyeball the ventilation holes against the flat-top.

You'll find you can get it straight within a few clicks of windage just by eyeballing it.  If you're really picky, you can loop a piece if thread around the front sight post and string it through the rear sight aperture.

If it doesn't line up, you'll have to "adjust" the notch in your upper receiver, and then (more importantly) you need to tighten it up so the barrel won't move while you screw on the barrel nut.
