Hey,

I'm not sure where to put this, but I need some advice for a deal. I was offered a G23 FTS Eotech Magnifier for $435 shipped (new). Is this a good deal//.Should I get it?
I want to eventually use this rifle build for 3 gun.

Thanks

If it is brand new, that is a great deal.  If it is used, it isn't a great deal because you can get them brand new for $460.  If it is used, even in great condition, I would offer $400.  If you go to a pawn shop, or a gun store and try to sell it, they will only give you around $275, so see if you can get it for around $400.

That is a very good deal...almost too good to be true. Be cautious!! If it's legit it's a smoking good deal but sometimes if it seems too good to be true it's because it is!!

The guy is selling it on Ebay, and has a 7647 feedback at 99.9% +. I think I'm going to go for it... let you all know how it turns out. Thanks for the feedback!

Other thoughts:

When I receive it, should I be on the looking for anything to verify that it is:

1) new
and
2) Genuine?

Thanks.

NH,
If you feel you need to look for things to make sure it's new or that it's not a fake buy from an actual EOTech dealer. I understand where you're at but beware of the good deal that just seem too good! If you use PayPal than at least you're covered if it turns out to be a fake, damaged, or lightly used. But I've been down that road with PayPal and although they are very good about backing you it also takes weeks to months for them to complete an investigation which can sometimes lead to funds being temporarily seized. Just know what you're buying the first time.

I've had to deal with EOTech CS before and they always asked for the serial number on the magnifier mount. This was for an EOTech 4X Gen 1.  For the new G23s, I believe they have an encoded serial number on the magnifier now. You can email EOTech to ask them to confirm.

I'm thinking now that I might just go for a Primary Arms 5X magnifier and a LaRue LT-670 FTS mount to go with a Eotech 552. Thoughts/Opinions?

Total cost of PA5X+Larue = $268 verus $435 for a G23.FTS

Sounds like a good setup and it should align properly. Report back about the eye relief as that's been my biggest complaint for all the magnifier clones. Give it a shot man.
