Has anyone ever heard of an Eotech displaying two dots and two 65 MOA rings?

If you take a pic of it, it will be normal. Its your eyes....astigmatism.

Okay,
I will bite! Does everyone in my house have an astigmatism?
I 'll get the camera and be right back!
This happens after the unit has been on for about ten minutes.
Thanks Guys!
Be back in a few

Alright,
You win!
Took a picture of the reticle and guess what? The freaking thing looked perfect. Lookaed at it with the naked eye and there were two rings. Now What?
Thanks,
Sean

If a person had astigmatism, would they also have difficulty using an Aimpoint ?

I have the same problem, that's how I knew. When you start using it, the doubling will dissappear. I think your eyes will get used to the optic and it will appear normal. At least its that way for me. I also noticed if you keep it at a normal or low setting it won't double as much. I notice it more at the higher levels.
The Aimpoint's reticle is not made of tiny dots so the Aimpoint will not have this effect.

People with astigmatism sometimes experience a line or blob instead of a circular dot when using an Aimpoint.

Corrective lenses usualy clear it up.

No that's too many of these:

Just Kiddin' probably get your peepers checked like everyone else said.  Or maybe it's that 'balancing' pill you take daily.

I had the same problem with an Eotech.  I ended up going with a Hakko red dot.  It was the only one that looked clear to me.  I have a severe astigmatism in my right eye.

I don't have an astigmatism and had the same thing with my Rev F.  I talked to Mike at CSgunworks and this appears to be a somewhat common problem w/ the newest Eotechs.  It bothered me so bad, I sold it for an Aimpoint.  The amount of double imaging will vary from sight to sight.  Mine was the worst at the highest settings.

I haven't even got my EOThing from Grant yet and already know what to blame it on.

Thanks gotm4.

P.S. Hope to have my stuff right for the "Hollow" shoot.
