I know there are a lot of enhanced trigger guards on the market. Im having a hard time finding one I like. Any recommendations will be appreciated. I want an aluminum one that fills in all the gaps.
I just got a Magpul one from Amazon for my Windham. It's aluminum and fills in that trigger gap nicely. Link
The reason is because the standard trigger guard pivots open so you can wear gloves and still manipulate the trigger. If you fill in the gap but leave the guard flat then you can't pivot it open. If you're going to have a guard you can't open you might as well bow it so you can still get a gloved finger on there. Some are hideously huge but I really like the Magpul unit because it file the gap, has soft rounded edges and has (to my eye) very asthetically pleasing lines. There is a product called The Gapper that fills the gap behind the standard triggerguard. I've never used it but it is popular. Some of the aftermarket pistol grips have a flange that covers the gap is another option.
