[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Early Colt Question

I met a guy who has an unfired, complete 6920 upper for sale for cheap, he claims it has 0.250" takedown and pivot pins. Did Colt ever manufacture the 6920 with small holes? I just wanna be sure this thing will fit a non-Colt lower without having to use an adaptor before I make the deal.

He is correct, the LE6920 has standard takedown and pivot holes. The FCG pins, however, are slightly larger.

The upper and lower will interchange with any other milspec dimensioned parts.
