Hey guys, just picked up this AR today and to me it looks like the staking is a little weak. Im not going to be running this gun hard, do you think this should be restaked?
Thanks,
Chris

looks ok, not great but the metal has been displaced.. But if it bugs you just re enforce the stakes.
ETA lemme guess PSA BCG?

Leave it, and watch it closely. If it looks like it's starting to shift, stake them.

No
If it gets loose just replace the key, screws and stake to your liking.

Sorry that was a shot to PSA's little problem of improperly staked Bolt carriers, and un marked Bolts.
Like everyone else says, watch it.
Run it hard, run it wet

That staking is more than adequate, and is really a nice job.
Most staking is overdone, and can damage the screws.
The purpose of staking is to displace metal to prevent the screw from being able to turn, which is evident in your photo.

Looks fine. I only stake mine on the top now. Zero issues, need to grind the stake off to even think about turning screws. I also use Permatex 27010 and torque to spec.
