Will it co-witness with either, or would you choose a sight like the LaRue for use with either sight?

They will work with either.  Mine is paried with an eotech

MIne's on an A3 and it cowitnesses in the bottom 1/3 using a USGI mount. My Aimpoint is a DRMO issue, so hope this helps.

I have the DPMS Mangonel on one behind an Eotech, and a DPMS Stand alone rear sight on another behind an Eotech.  Both co-witness.

I have the DPMS and it works. I'm selling it though, I'm getting the flip up type so there's nothing in the glass of the Eotech but red.
