Hell, I just want to see the pictures! I'll try to get the pics this week and the bro is coming home in a week or two. Might try for a writup then. FWIW, It seems like a very high quality barrel, hopefully we can get some decent glass on there and squeeze out some nice groups... After graduation I'd love to make a recce with one.

I find Dissy's good looking because I like the additional functionality of full-length handguards. I do not fit carbine-length handguards well. And I was always an irons shooter so the extended sights look "right" to me. Locating the FSP based on a need to position the gas block always seemed lazy. Mid lengths seem like a nice compromise, but I like to keep my gas system in one of the two well-proven positions. The new generations of thin rails and tubular handguards really make dissys look sharp. |

I'm thinking about going for one of the CMMG dissys. Are they a good value, in your opinion? I think the ADCO is too expensive, and the Bushy has a carbine gas system, which makes it not optimal (IMO).
I definitely plan on posting my dissy build when it comes together though. 
(ETA: I'm talking about the barrel –– I already have an upper and BCG set aside) |

The CMMG is $1125 with plastic hand guards. The ADCO Cruiser Ready comes with DD Omega and an MP tested BCG for $750. Add a lower $120 Trigger group $65 Stock $65 Grip $20 $270+750 = $1020 About the same for a much better rifle. And at ADCO you can have it customized with whatever stock/grip/flash hider/sling you want out the door. Plus small shop customer service.
