I bought a Colt Sporter Competition HBAR Preban AR 15 at a local gun show.  The fit and finish indicate hardly any firing.  I went to my local range and fired a few rounds...all went well.  I paid $1265 out the door.  Is this a decent deal/investment?  I believe it is, however, need reinforcement as I haven't told my wife yet.

IMO, you merely did ok. You neither got raped nor did you do a rape. Sometimes those are all the deals to be had.

IMO,It doesnt sound too bad to me,When i first started looking around at AR's the prebies went anywhere from 1100$ to 2500$ (some people must smoke crack LOL)End the end i went with an RRA carbine as it was the closest to the final config i wanted and it didnt seem right to have to pay some guy 1500$ for a preban (just caus it was a preban) and then convert it to what i wanted.Anyway congrats and enjoy..UNDERDOG
