I have a friend that a has a ACOG that fits in the carry handle groove the TA44. He recently purchased a flat top rifle and has the flat top mount that sits directly on the rail the TA60  . He wants something that raises the ACOG up off the flat-top higher. More in-line with the height of a Arms M68 with Spacer for an aimpoint. Any Ideas? I see trijicon has these:  but I am not sure how they would atach to the scope as there does not appear to a circular area to mount it to other than the eyepiece, and I don't think you would want all the weight of the sight cantilevered off the rear of the sight. Is my buddy just SOL with this sight, or is there another option? Thanks for any help. Suggestions for other mounts that raise this particular scope would be appreciated: Larue, Arms, GG&G |
There is a definite shortage of mounts for the mini. There's the Trijicon in your pic and the Larue that sits slightly lower. You can also use any mount for a full size ACOG, although it will be much longer than is necessary.

I think Trijicon should stop selling two types of compact acogs. The carry handle mount style is redundant since you can put a mount on the special ring mount that will mount on the carry handle or you can use the MM09 as shown in your picture. There are quite a few different mounts for the special ring version acog. So sell the one with the carry handle and then buy a special ring version.  |
