For all around work, i.e. hunting, home defense, SHTF and what not, which would you choose and why??? (pics are always welcome)

2X is all you need for consistent center mass hits even out to 300 yards (if you have the right combo for fragmentation at longer distances).
2X and BAC is nice up close too.

If I have to shoot all day long I think the TA11 is the best because of more eye relief and head position forgiveness. I think it is the all around best ACOG for a fighting rifle. The TA31 no longer looks so hot now that I've experienced the TA11. If I am wearing goggles (see my photo to the left) the TA11 is the only ACOG I can use without the ACOG rear lens rubbing up against them.

Compacts are nice. If you can find one you like buy it. Special orders take over 11 months.

Recently thinking about the same. Decided full size is better on my 20'' (have a TAO1),
and gonna get a compact for my 16".

Me too, I'm thinking of getting a 1.5x and mounting it on my bushy's carry handle.

My TA45 (1.5X) , mounted on my 6520, is probably my favorite AR optic. Amber triangle reticle. I would get one in red if I could find it
