Just wondering if you guys consider the Commando 733 to be retro. Im putting a likeness of one togerher, as soon as stamp comes in. Also, if you all built any yourelves and have pics, please feel free to show them off!

Very nice, Im using a NDS C7 style upper on mine, it will be pretty close as far as looks go. The only thing i think wiil be off is im using an A1 flash hider, when it seems they were equiped with A2's. Thats partly just my personal preference, partly cause i had one laying around.

I picked up a mutt a while back that has a C7 style upper but is semi only (no auto sear cut). C and H forge codes. What model civilian AR did this come from? The barrel is super heavy under the handguards and has been cut for a bad 5" FH that's been pinned on. The plus is that it is .625 at the FSB and forward.

You can do pretty much what you want with these. I understand they are still in the catalog, abeit with A2 uppers. Mine is not period correct, since while they were made with A2 lowers, the A2 lower and Gen II stock are a combination not found in nature. The A2 lowers typically had fiberlite stocks. My C7 style upper has no markings on it, so I have no idea where it came from.
