I have been considering getting a flashlight for my M4. I ran across this one on Command Arms website: Flashlight It seems to have everything needed for a good setup. The only thing I am concerned with is the fact it has a Surefire G2. Will this flashlight be able to handle being mounted on a gun? Is it isolated enough to keep the shock low enough to not ruin it? If I go this route I figured I would also order the Surefire G2 8" pressure switch that they sell. And I notice that it also adds a rail to the other side of the sight post. Then I would have a spot to mount my Laser when I go that route. Thanks for any info! Brian |

If you go with the G2 you will also need to get a shock isolated bezel such as the z32. The g2 is not capable of withstanding the shock from firing. Fork up the little bit of dough for the shock isolated bezel or you'll be paying out the rear for bulbs everytime you shoot your weapon. And also, the light may not work when you really need it. If your looking for a place to get the bezel, contact Calvin at Brightflashlights.net. Hes helped just about everyone on this site with their weapon lights. ETA: If you have a rail on your gun get a rail mounted system, I just looked at the site and the price seems pretty steep for that setup also. Give Brightflashlights a try, trust me, you'll save alot of money! |

The CAA setup is a good approach but I gotta say, you can do the same for less and actually get more if you shop around |
What he said. I know this guy who sells lights on this board. You can give him a call and he'll put something together that will meet, and most likely exceed your needs for a reasonable price. Check out brightflashlights. |
