Does the barrel on a post ban Colt MT 6400c taper back down right before the muzzle brake? Or is it the same diameter all the way down. I know the preban barrels do, but as far as postban, I don't know. I'm not talking about the grenade launcher step down, past that....thanks Billy

It is an M4 profile barrel with cutouts.

You're confused. M4 barrel yes, all m4 barrels are tapered to accept an m203 launcher. Question is: Is the barrel turned down slightly before the muzzle brake. Pre ban ones are, are Colt postban models too, or arwe they the same diameter.....

Is the barrel threaded under the compensater?

No, two pins hold it on.

Yes, the barrel on the MT6400C reduces (steps) down to a diameter of approximately .701" and continues at that diameter to the end of the muzzle.
