I know Colt Match Target 6400C comes with a 16 inch 1-7 barrel, with a compensator instead of a flash hider. The Colt factory rep said that the compensator is pinned on, & removable, but he didn't know if the barrel is threaded to accept a flash hider or not. Anybody know whether the barrel is already threaded or not? If not, can it be threaded for a flash hider?

I have a chance to buy one at a good price (for a Colt), & I know that I will have to replace the pinned stock with a MagPul or some other aftermarket stock. Somewhere down the road I want to buy a suppressor, & in the meantime I want a flash hider instead of the compensator....

Obligatory disclaimer: I tried a Search, but nothing came up.

It's not threaded. Here's mine with the compensator removed:

Here it is after I sent the upper to ADCO (Industry partner) to have the barrel threaded & add an A2 Flash Suppressor (also replaced stock with a Vltor):

Good enough. At least now I know what I'll be dealing with.
Thank you for the information.
