So im thinking im going to color fill my lower. Anyone have some tips and tricks? YouTube is full of people doing it and ways to do it, I am going to be using paint to fill mine. Color ideas? Everyone seems to go red and white, im thinking Lime Green for the letters and purple for the Logo? Maybe red on the fire mark? I like getting ideas from people before i go to town.

Also, how do you post pictures in here?

Here's a link to an archived thread that should answer all your questions.  There are several different methods.  Welcome to Arfcom.

Sorry no pics, but I'd try the finger nail polish first. pick a color scheme and go to it. A lot easier to remove if you don't like the results.

Use crayons!!!!!

And WD40 for prep, its cheap, surprisingly durable and changeable/f*ckup-able

The very best thing to use is acrylic from an art or craft store
Unlimited colors - cheap - thick - covers very good - water clean up

Just dab it in w a brush and wipe with a wet paper towel - rinse brush in the sink - done

Grease pencils/china markers and an oiled up rag. They're cheap, water resistant and removable if you screw up or change your mind. Oh, and the fact they are 3 for a $1.00 at Ace Hardware helps, you can get Red, White, and whatever other color you want for a buck.

Wait about 6 months and get it out of your system. When I got my first AR color fill looked cool so I had a friend do my lower for me. 6 months and a couple more rifles later and the color fill just looks kind of silly.

Although I have never color filled my self,Nor want to for that matter. I read on here that if you take a syringe with Testors model paint and go to town. It is more liable to stick and stay

For this exact reason I suggest going with the grease pencils.
