I went up in the mountains today to do some shooting, and noticed condensation had built up inside the mags, as well as on the weapon while sitting in the car/operating. Are there any techniquest I can apply with my equipment to prevent rusting, or other water related damages? I dried it all out, and cleaned the weapon today.

Once you clean mags and the rifle and go out in the cold...keep it cold. Its when you bring into warm from cold that condensation builds up and that must be wiped out or it will freeze when going back in the elements.Use a good clp and rust on steel parts shouldnt be a problem.

If you need to take a cold weapon into somewhere warm, try to leave it in a case until it warms up. That will help limit the condensation.

Thanks very much! That would definitely be easier than breaking down and cleaning every time
