I finally completed my bolt and carrier...

I bought a chrome plated semi-auto bolt carrier with forward assist cuts (marked with a single D) from my new boss.  It is all chrome plated  except for the gas carrier key and screws. Cost me $60

Then I bought a chrome plated bolt that came with chrome plated exstractor and spring no pin. From my old boss.  I the rest of the parts in parts box except id like to get a chrome plated firing pin retainer pin.  Cost me $50.

So I have a new Chome plated bolt and carrier for a total of $110 I think that is pretty good for a little extra work of mixing and matching.

My retro build grinds slowly closer to completion.  Now I have to buy a forward assist upper but I know where I can get one for $75 and I can save my slick slide upper for another project.

DPMS sells an excellent reproduction chrome plated retaining pin. I have two of them.
