I had hoped to have everything completely assembled before I gave an update, but haven't been able to get with my dept. armorer to use his time/tools, and didn't want too much time to pass before giving credit where credit is due.

Some of you may remember I asked a question about a mis-timed flash hider on my CMMG barrel, if not you can see the original thread HERE.  Anyway, I hadn't decided if it was a big deal yet or not and had posted a couple of pics here to get some opinions as to whether it might effect function or not.  I was telling myself I could live with it when Jeff from CMMG jumped in and said it wasn't right and to send it back.  No excuses, no "maybe look at it in a different light" or anything like that, just said "that's not right, send it back".

I exchanged a couple of offline messages with Jeff and he was very apologetic and great to talk to and said that he would replace it ASAP.  Well, being a cynical person and knowing he was at the SHOT show that week, I figured I might see a replacement in a month.  To my surprise he sent out a replacement right away and I had it and the Vltor rail I ordered in my hands the very next week.

I have to say that I had a great experience with CMMG.  Jeff, Linda and John not only answered my questions before the sale, but continued to take care of me afterwards as well.  My new barrel is picture perfect (even if I can't take perfect pictures) and to top it all off when I was unpacking my barrel I found that Jeff had thrown in a new 30 rnd. magazine with MagPul follower and Ranger Plate.  It was like finding that last present hidden under the back corner of the Christmas tree!

Anyway, I wanted to make sure I publicly thanked them for their great service and for making me a happy customer.  I will definitely do business with them again!!

Thanks CMMG!

Thanks for the update & photos. I was looking at CMMG barrels last night. With customer service like that, I'll put them at the top of my list.

PS - Those photos are pretty good. I like the one looking down the barrel.

Thanks for the compliment seahorse, my pics don't touch some of the ones I've seen other people post, but thanks to a couple of Sticks tips they didn't turn out too bad.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy from CMMG again.  They were very responsive and good to work with once I figured out there was an issue.

BTW - Stick, are you the same Stickman from GT CopTalk forum??

They will be getting more of my buisness in the weeks to come.

Thanks USA.  I kind of like the way the blue light down the barrel shot turned out.  I'll have to fine tune it a bit and see if I can't get the FH in focus vs the light.  I may also try with a red light.

Just got a midlength with medium contour barrel from CMMG, very happy with it.  Only one making the medium contours AFAIK.
