Will CLP take the white paint out of the T markings in between the rail slots?

Hasn't been a problem for me.

While I have never had an excessive amount of CLP (if any) on the T marks, I don't imagine it could take the paint off

Hmmmm.... What if you really scrubed at them with CLP and a toothbrush?

Just color over them with a Sharpie.

Are you affraid they'll give away your position?

No, I just don't want them to wear off if I try my best.

I would think the manufacturer would have foresight to select a paint that was resistant to oils like CLP that likely the paint would come in contact with. BUT, you never know. I'm sure CLP is NOT good for the paint, but most likely, if the manufacturer selected the proper paint, it will take a long time for CLP to degrade it.

Like most people will tell you in the cleaning threads, they only apply the lightest of light coat of CLP on the exterior, personally I've wiped mine down with a cotton cloth after the clp is applied to the surface to leave just a residue of CLP behind. I'm duracoating the rifle now, so I guess I won't be wiping it down with CLP in the future.

Why are you pouring clp on your rails?

I'm just anal about cleaning.

I really like clean guns to include the rails also.

On the four Daniel Defense rails I've seen/had, CLP has turned all the white lettering to a more subdued gray. All the lettering is still there though.

So under the paint are the laser engravings anodized over or just left silver?
